Located adjacent to the emergency department at Rhode Island Hospital, PES is able to provide quick evaluation of both primary psychiatric illness and the complex interplay of medical and psychiatric issues. Our services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Through Brown University Health Behavioral Health Services, PES refers patients to a wide range of treatment programs, including psychotherapies (talk therapies), psychopharmacologic management, day hospital treatment, and inpatient treatment. PES staff works closely with referral sources, family members and other Brown University Health partners to provide efficient, quality care in the least restrictive environment possible.
