Sports Medicine Surgeon

Stephen Marcaccio, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic sports medicine surgeon (ABOS) in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Rhode Island, The Miriam, and Newport hospitals. He is also a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Dr. Marcaccio’s areas of expertise are orthopedic sports medicine and orthopedic trauma. He completed a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and a fellowship in orthopedic trauma at Rhode Island Hospital and Brown University Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Marcaccio earned his medical degree and completed his internship and residency at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and Rhode Island and The Miriam hospitals. He is fluent in French.
