Rachel Weitz, DNP, APRN-BC, is a board-certified advanced practice registered nurse with the Bradley Hospital Vista team who specializes in the assessment and treatment of adolescents and emerging adults who struggle with substance use and related mental health conditions. She has dedicated her career to advancing and delivering evidence-based adolescent behavioral health care.

For nearly two decades, Dr. Weitz has provided the highest-quality direct clinical care to youth and their families across various settings in New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Dr. Weitz earned her doctorate in nursing from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and completed her practicum training in May 2020. Before her doctoral studies, Dr. Weitz was a registered nurse providing care in the child and adolescent psychiatric inpatient setting at Bellevue Hospital and case management in the homecare setting for comorbid psychiatric and medical conditions. From a professional and personal capacity, she is committed to leading with authenticity and integrity and assessing and evaluating clients and their families from a biopsychosocial lens. Importantly, Dr. Weitz is devoted to implementing evidence-based practice while inspiring hope and resilience.

In 2018, while completing her doctoral degree, Dr. Weitz joined the Bradley Vista team at Bradley Hospital where, with Robert Miranda, Jr., PhD, MEd, she helps lead the treatment team for the intensive outpatient program. 

Dr. Weitz is proficient in French and American Sign Language (ASL).
