Selection is based upon your needs and preferences. Search results will first present, in alphabetical order, physicians employed or contracted with Brown University Health or its affiliates, followed by an alphabetical listing of physicians who are in Brown University Health’s network of affiliated providers. At the end of that initial list, you can access an alphabetical listing of community physicians with privileges at Brown University Health hospitals. All physicians in Find a Doctor have the opportunity to have a picture or video posted on the site. Neither the order of physicians, nor the presence or absence of a photo or video, in Find a Doctor is intended to reflect any preference, priority, or recommendation by Brown University Health. Find a Doctor search results are also not based on the volume or value of referrals to Brown University Health or its affiliates from any listed physician. Users are free to select their physician of choice from among all Brown University Health-affiliated medical staff physicians.

Li Juan Wang, MD
Interim Pathologist-in-Chief, Brown University Health
In February 2022, Li Juan Wang, MD, PhD is interim pathologist-in-chief at Brown University Health. Dr. Wang is a professor of pathology and laboratory medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and board-certified in anatomic pathology and clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology.
Her areas of expertise include surgical pathology, gastrointestinal pathology, breast pathology, and genitourinary pathology. Her research interests focus on the application of immunohistochemical and molecular classifications in surgical pathology to optimize clinical outcomes.
An active member of many Brown University Health committees, she serves currently on the patient care committee at The Miriam, and both the executive committee and the quality assurance committee at the Brown University Health Academic Medical Center.
Dr. Wang has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals and has participated in numerous leadership roles throughout her academic career. She received her medical degree from Beijing University School of Medicine in China and her PhD from the University of Louisville in Kentucky.
