Selection is based upon your needs and preferences. Search results will first present, in alphabetical order, physicians employed or contracted with Brown University Health or its affiliates, followed by an alphabetical listing of physicians who are in Brown University Health’s network of affiliated providers. At the end of that initial list, you can access an alphabetical listing of community physicians with privileges at Brown University Health hospitals. All physicians in Find a Doctor have the opportunity to have a picture or video posted on the site. Neither the order of physicians, nor the presence or absence of a photo or video, in Find a Doctor is intended to reflect any preference, priority, or recommendation by Brown University Health. Find a Doctor search results are also not based on the volume or value of referrals to Brown University Health or its affiliates from any listed physician. Users are free to select their physician of choice from among all Brown University Health-affiliated medical staff physicians.

Jack C. Rusley, MD, MHS
Adolescent Medicine Specialist
Jack Rusley, MD, MHS, is a board-certified adolescent medicine specialist and adolescent health researcher. He provides primary care and specialty care to adolescents and young adults ages 12 to 26 at the Adolescent Healthcare Center. He is an assistant professor in the division of adolescent medicine at Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children’s. He has an academic appointment at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, as well as in the Department of Health Services, Policy, and Practice at the Brown University School of Public Health.
Dr. Rusley’s research interests include improving the quality of transition to adult care for all youth, HIV prevention, and substance use disorder prevention and treatment. He has a special interest in youth with special health care needs, including those with chronic illness, physical and developmental disabilities. He also provides specialty care for youth in the areas of substance use, family planning, STD testing and treatment, pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV (PrEP), comprehensive LGBTQ services, and menstrual disorders. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine national advocacy committee.
