Jinnette Dawn Abbott, MD, is an interventional cardiologist with expertise in cardiac catheterization and coronary and endovascular intervention. She is the director of interventional cardiology and cardiac catheterization laboratories at Lifespan Cardiovascular Institute at Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital.

Dr. Abbott is also associate chief of faculty development and academic advancement in the Division of Cardiology, and a professor of medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. 

Her clinical research program focuses on percutaneous coronary intervention and peripheral arterial disease. Dr. Abbott is an associate editor of the journal Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions.

Dr. Abbott received her medical degree from the University of Chicago-Pritzker School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital and a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut.

She is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. She is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology.
