Iris L. Tong, MD

Attending Physician

Iris Tong, MD, FACP, is an attending physician and an associate professor of medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Tong received a medical degree from Cornell University Medical College in New York. She then completed her residency in general internal medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, where she also served as chief resident.

Dr. Tong is board certified in internal medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Tong has served as the chair of the Women's Health Advisory Committee to the Rhode Island Department of Health, the director of the Doctoring Course at The Alpert Medical School, and the clinical director of the Women's Health Track in the General Internal Medicine residency program.

She currently serves as a Mary B. Arnold Mentor for The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and is the current chair of the Sex and Gender Health Collaborative Scholarship Committee, an initiative of the American Medical Women's Association.
