Selection is based upon your needs and preferences. Search results will first present, in alphabetical order, physicians employed or contracted with Brown University Health or its affiliates, followed by an alphabetical listing of physicians who are in Brown University Health’s network of affiliated providers. At the end of that initial list, you can access an alphabetical listing of community physicians with privileges at Brown University Health hospitals. All physicians in Find a Doctor have the opportunity to have a picture or video posted on the site. Neither the order of physicians, nor the presence or absence of a photo or video, in Find a Doctor is intended to reflect any preference, priority, or recommendation by Brown University Health. Find a Doctor search results are also not based on the volume or value of referrals to Brown University Health or its affiliates from any listed physician. Users are free to select their physician of choice from among all Brown University Health-affiliated medical staff physicians.

Andrew Levinson, MD, MPH, FCCP
http://www.brownmed.orgAndrew Levinson, MD, MPH, FCCP, is the co-director of the Brown University Health Simulation Center difficult airway course. In addition, he is the assistant medical director of the intensive care unit at The Miriam Hospital. He is the director of Brown’s Critical Care Medicine Fellowship program and has been a member of the pulmonary, critical care, and sleep division faculty at both Rhode Island and The Miriam hospitals.
Dr. Levinson has demonstrated research and clinical interests in efforts to reduce potential harms to critically ill patients, including through the use of simulation training and point-of-care ultrasound. He was the co-principal investigator of a hospital-funded performance improvement program designed to reduce the complications of intubations in Brown University Health medical ICUs using medical simulation training and difficult airway equipment, and served as the quality officer for the division of pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine.
